The incidence of dysgraphia in Arabic language in children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder

Abstract Background Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain marked by an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development. Although children ADHD made much more spelling errors, they had distinct letter insertions, replacements, transpositions, and omissions. This mistake type sometimes referred to as graphemic buffer it caused lack attention required for motor planning. The aim study was assess the incidence dysgraphia in Arabic language better helping, diagnosis management those children. Results Ten percent normal handwriting no disability, 40% excellent minimum disability 50% showed mild moderate disability. There were significant differences between control regarding results each item on subtest scale (DDS), respecting lines, spacing words, direction, sentence, punctuation. Drawing affected finger tapping speed almost Conclusions Dysgraphia highly presents our sample poor fine skills than have illegible handwriting, not insufficient space within multiple omissions letters words.
